Every year in celebration of my grandma's birthday my entire family charters a bus and stays overnight in Detroit and everyone gambles nonstop. This is my grandma's birthday wish to have everyone gamble to their heart's content......and they think I'm bizarre? I feel like I only superficially visit Detroit, but enjoy it nonetheless. I like wandering away from my family and seeing the monuments randomly scattered about and smoking in bars and pretty much anywhere else. They embraced their post-industrial seediness much more than Cleveland. I'm envious of that.
