I am fascinated with the concept of beauty particularly in western culture. To me there isn't a greater embodiment of the all American ideal of beauty than Barbie. Blonde, Thin, but also Buxom and well equipped for life with a permanent smile on her face she is what all little girls are taught to be. I find it completely disturbing there are actual adult women who try to mimic her appearance through dress and surgery. I guess these photos are a response to that.
